Local History

The Friends of Fleckney Library are proud to continue to host The Fleckney History Group in the library.

Exhibitions of local interest are displayed and changed twice a year and an archive of over 300 items (photographs and documents) is available to all on a designated computer during library opening hours. The archive is useful for family history research or even researching the history of your home. Printouts via a dedicated printer at 25p per sheet. The computer and displays are provided by the Fleckney History Group.

Family history research can also be undertaken on the library’s computers via the Leicestershire Libraries online reference resources. The local and family history resource gives full free access to Ancestry and Find My Family websites when logging in through a library computer in the library.
